ABOUT YWAM
Youth With A Mission, or YWAM as it is often known as, is an inter-denominational, non-profit Christian missionary organization. It was founded by Loren and Darlene Cunningham in 1960 with the goal to “Know God and to make Him known”.
YWAM is a global movement with bases located around the world, with each base following the basic YWAM guidelines, but also each base having the freedom to pursue specific spheres of ministry as led by the Lord. There are over 1,100 bases globally, with over 15,000 full time volunteers working to expand God’s Kingdom.

TRANSFORMING OUR COMMUNITY
YWAM CANCUN began in January of 2016 with 9 people working on staff. The majority of the staff had been working in Cancun, involved in various types of ministries for over 9 years prior to the launch of the new base. Our heart is to see communities transformed and lives reborn through a daily life of service and love for our neighbor. We love reaching out to those around us, whether in community development or through evangelism. Our desire is to expand our area of influence into other spheres and new locations, and in order to do so we must disciple new believers, thus our training opportunities.
